about me.
Hi
I'm Faye, a psychotherapeutic reflexologist based in Penryn, Cornwall UK. I started my journey as a reflexologist in 2018 and since spending hundreds of hours with individuals it was clear that I needed to expand my knowledge at better holding space for matters of the mind. I started on a therapeutic counselling path in 2022, and am now a qualified psychotherapist.
I believe that everyone should have access to touch and talk therapy as the holistic approach allows people to feel connected and empowered with every aspect of their mental & physical wellbeing, which can lead to incredible amounts of healing and thriving in a persons everyday life.

I have a passion for working with people who are dealing with stress - physical or emotional. I believe everything is related to stress and I know that if I can help you to relax in a space where you feel validated yet gently challenged, then your whole being will gradually come into alignment.
I am naturally very open-minded and my work encompasses everyones individual needs and personalities. My role is to help you to explore your own mind, resulting in you becoming more attuned and satisfied with your life.

While living and working in New Zealand I sampled an introductory massage course after being encouraged to explore my "natural healing" talents. When I returned to the UK I began my new life in the exploration of holistic therapy - everything changed from here. Alongside my reflexology course in Totnes I also started out gardening for private homes in Cornwall. I still want to pursue interests in garden design and permaculture. Working outside and intimately with people really is a beautifully balanced combination.
As soon as I qualified in 2020 I set up 'reroot' and despite the topsey turvey goings on in the world I slowly got my name out there and thrived in my new position as a holistic practitioner. I loved working one on one with people and soon came to realise that there was a special energy within my sessions, one in which my clients seemed to open up and express their inner worlds. I took this as a side effect of feeling deep relaxation, but I felt it was my duty and ethical responsibility to continue my training to be better equipped for my clients psychological needs. During this time I also volunteered my time to support members of Georgia's Voice with reflexology.
Taking on a counselling diploma has been no easy task. It's particularly testing for someone like me who isn't blessed with the necessary academic skills needed. Not only that, I describe the course as basically three (nearly four) years of intense therapy. You don't end the process as the person you started. It has, again, been life changing and I see it as a great honour to sit with someone as they tell you their inner wounds at their most vulnerable. My first one hundred counselling hours were spent volunteering with Pegasus Men's Wellbeing Centre. Here I worked with men & women suffering with all sorts from addiction to grief, from loneliness to relationship issues. Now I am able to offer a combination of both or either counselling and reflexology to private clients wanting a person-centred and holistic approach to their health.
